Sure, plenty of training plans are available online for free. They may give you a general idea of how many miles to run and when to do certain workouts. But what about pace? How fast should you run your tempo runs? Your easy runs? What if you don’t want to run 5 days per week? What if your tempo run is on your yoga day? Or if you want more than the “beginners” plan but less than the “advanced”? All those questions can make a one-size-fits-all training plan difficult to work with. This is why we offer custom training plans.

Establish a realistic goal

This is one of the most common question we hear. “I just ran a 10K in 56 minutes, can I break 2 hours in the half marathon?” Or “I used to run a 5K in 24 minutes in high school but haven’t ran in many years, can I get back to that level?”. And our answer is almost always YES! We work to determine a realistic goal and help you reach it.

Terrain-specific

Everybody trains differently. Are you a road runner who runs mostly on sidewalks or hard-packed surface? Or do you prefer running on trails with technical terrain and steep hills? Or maybe you are a track runner? Do you train at altitude, in humidity, in hot or cold temperatures? We understand altitude training/heat training and adapt our workouts based on your running environment.

The correct training pace

Most of our customers do not know what pace to run at. Running at the correct pace is critical to achieving success. Run too fast and you may get injured or burnt out. Too slowly and your progress will suffer. Our custom training plans come with a simple pacing chart. You will never have to guess your pace again. Whether it is your easy, marathon, threshold, or repetition pace, we do the work for you.

Race-specific

Are you racing a flat course in Florida? Or maybe an ultra in the mountains of Arizona or Colorado? Either way, your training should include as many elements from your race environment. We include workouts that match the race and terrain you will be encountering.

You train when your schedule allows it! We build your custom training plan around your busy life. While you can complete easy runs any day of the week, it is important to keep your faster workouts structured.

How often should you increase your mileage? And by how much? Clients ask those questions all the time. We use scientifically proven methods to increase mileage so you remain injury-free.
